This is our dad.
He loved us all more than anything. He was our greatest cheerleader and our ultimate defender. He encouraged us to get an education, assuring us that it was the one thing no one could ever take away from us. He loved us fiercely. He was courageous, curious, and always willing to push the limits.
Born in Poland, Dad survived the Holocaust in Siberia. He eventually fulfilled his dream of immigrating to Israel, where he studied to become a physician. He went on to become Chairman of OB/GYN at four different hospitals in the New York and New Jersey area.
To Dad, every patient was a human being first, deserving of his full attention, compassion, and care. His patients adored him, and his residents admired him. He was a devoted physician who took his work seriously.
He loved to mountain climb as a boy and later ski, scuba dive, jog, and ride his Lambretta through the hills of Jerusalem.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 63 years, Liliana; his daughters, Tamar and Talia; his son-in-law, Rich; and his grandchildren, Noah, Ben, and Chloe.
We will miss his courage, his fierce love, his unwavering belief in us, and his insistence on living life fully and on his own terms.
He will forever be in our memories, in our stories, and most of all, in our hearts.
