Robert “Bobby” Fine, 83, of Framingham, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Suzanne; his three children, Bruce, Randy and his wife Michele, and Matthew; and his six grandchildren, Jonathan and his wife Gabriela, Dr. Alexa, Gabriel, Brady, Jacob, and Joshua. He is also survived by his brother, Lenny. He was predeceased by his sister, Arlene.
Bobby was a proud graduate of Boston English High School, Class of 1960.
He went on to found his namesake firm, Robert Fine & Associates, a nationally recognized leader in financial services, established more than 50 years ago in Worcester, MA. His legacy in the industry—and the family business he built—continues through the next generation.
A committed philanthropist, Bobby created the life insurance gifting program for the Jimmy Fund. He founded the Bill Costello Golf Tournament, which raised more than $1 million for cancer research through its partnership with the Jimmy Fund. His gregarious spirit and boundless generosity inspired philanthropic efforts both public and private. He donated generously to ensure that children battling cancer could attend summer camp free of charge. His lifetime of giving was recognized by both the Boston Red Sox, who invited him to throw out the first pitch at Fenway Park, and the Boston Celtics, who honored him as a “Hero Among Us.”
Most recently, Bobby was inducted into the Guardian Life Hall of Fame, becoming only the 12th General Agent ever to receive this honor in Guardián Insurance’s 165-year history.
