Robin and I were dear friends through Homestead Camp. Although we lost touch over the years I am gladdened to read about the woman she became, and saddened by the loss to her family and community.

She will remain a cherished memory in my heart.

I just found out today about Robin's passing. She was such a warm, lovely person and a great artist! She will be greatly missed by the Boston art community.

Robin brought life and light into my world.  She always listened to my stories of being a  Mother, Artist, and Woman with understanding and compassion.  Robin was especially helpful to me when my daughter, Anna, died.  
My studio is filled with memories of talks with Robin.  I have a great piece of furniture that Robin gave to me from one of her early yard sales.  The piece has about 30 shelves to hold many kinds of papers.  I use it every day and think of Robin every time I use it. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.

I'm so sorry to hear that Robin has passed away. I have so many wonderful memories of our stage and costume design work together in the late 1990s, including filling a small Brandeis stage with paper insulation, and going to Ravenna, Italy with Concord Academy's dance troupe for their performance in the apse of a cathedral converted into an avant garde theater school.

Robin inspired me in so many ways: to embrace mismatched dishware, to be unapologetically creative, to embrace adventure.

Robin's memory is truly a blessing. Big hugs to all who knew and loved her.

I have been teaching Italian at the New England Conservatory since 2007 and consider myself fortunate because I met her. 
Always the 'soul of the department',  Robin is (not a typo here) an artist and educator who was unfailingly kind, open-minded, cheerful and generous with all her  students and colleagues. In that she literally was a model to us all at the --then-- department of  Liberal Arts. I am sorry, also, because our paths crossed not for long,  we were together regretfully for a few years only. 
However short our exchange regrettably was, it was still deeply meaningful to me .
I will deeply miss you, dear Robin

Robin Dash was a customer at our bakery, the New Paris Bakery in Brookline.  She loved the pastries and she impressed me with her beautiful laughter and a genuine interest in us as people.
I remember her memories from Greece, where she went for her  honeymoon.  How families had meals around the table and talked about life.  She was very impressed.
It was always a joy to see her visit the bakery.  A very down to earth and beautiful person.
May her family find some solace reading this, to know that Robin had an impact in other people's lives, e.g. us and may she never be forgotten.

Dear Stuart, Sam and David,
We have such fond memories of your family that hearing about Robin’s death was so sad. Having lost our oldest son Eli, we know that grieve can take many forms, seems to last forever, and unlike a cold , never really goes away. So our hearts goes out to your family. Robin always seemed like such a vibrant woman, loving person and talented artist. We shall cherish even more now the two paintings we have by her that hang in our Cape house. We can only hope that the comfort you get from her devoted friends and other family and each other brings you some solace.

robin! wide eyed and open hearted!  You fell into our Thursday yoga classes and then Wednesday....and made a big splash.  Your enthusiasm is/was infectious and you seemed the very definition of cool.  we spoke of difficult mothers, and art and movement and parenting, and partnering and you live so deep in my heart.  With a huge smile on my face I will carry you forward all my days.  Thank you for what you gave us.

Our walks through the neighborhoods of Somerville were invariably filled with Robin stopping to schmooze with everyone working in their gardens or futzing around outside. Thinking of David and all the Dash family during this difficult time

Part2: Our friend Brian we’ll often remind me of how magical it was to see Stuart Dash and Robin perform at Dave and Tullah’s wedding. Since Dave was a children’s book librarian, I leave you with this from APT. 3 by Ezra Jack Yeat because it reminds me of Robin: 
“He stood up suddenly, raised his harmonica to his mouth, and began to play. He played purples and grays and rain and smoke and the sounds of night. Sam sat quietly and listened. He felt that all the sights and sounds and color from outside had come into the room and were floating around. He floated with them. Ben’s eyes were closed, and he was smiling.”

Part 1: Hard to capture the impact Robin had on me in words but as Tullah put it was such a blessing to know and spend time with Robin. And of course she shaped the man we love, David Dash.  I don't think I really drank tea until I met Dave and his parents. The first time I was at Dave's parents' house Robin made me some black tea and asked if I wanted honey. I said yes and she proceeded to stick a spoon into a honey jar and getting about wrist deep and adding a huge amount of honey to my tea...best tea I ever had. Another great memory I have of Robin is her taking Dave, myself, Liz and Maggie to the Museum of Fine Art in Boston. I noticed as we were walking in we were not going to the ticket counter. Rather we were entering some secret backdoor or wall of a second floor exhibit. We followed Robin into the museum as a very puzzled security guard watched us walk in. Robin gave him a nod signaling we belonged and we got to enjoy the art. It was like the Magic School bus and Robin was our very own Ms. Frizzle. Fast forward about 7 years later I was studying and struggling my way through Landscape Architecture at RISD. Randomly, we were getting a tour of the Brandeis Campus’ recent landscaping. We were also tasked with taking field measurements for a class assignment. Now RISD was great but did you ever a have dream you are back in school and whole semester has passed but only arriving to class for like the last week of an assignment, well that was my experience at RISD. Anyhow, I’m taking measurements and then I hear “Where is Isak Mendes? Where is Isak Mendes?” A classmate came up to me and explained a woman with curly black hair was looking for me. Low and behold there was Robin with a class of young Brandeis students standing behind her like little ducklings. “Isak, how are you doing? Don’t let this school get you down. Make sure you are having a good time!” What nice to surprise to have Robin come check in on me and remind me what was important in life. Part 2

Dear Family,

How very sad I am to have learned of Robin's passing. She and I met at the Fieldston School in the mid 1960s, perhaps1966 or 1967 when we first began our journey through middle and high school. I often journeyed to Englewood to be with the family in those early years. Later in time I recognized  Melinda in Manhattan and found time to catch up with Robin in Boston.  Never will I forget Robin's infectious laugh and always buoyant greeting whenever we would find one another face-to-face or by phone. She has left her love on so many of our 💕 hearts and will forever be remembered.  Linda S. Myers

What is most import to share about Robin was her passion - pretty much about everything!  She just grabbed life by the lapels and forged it into something she saw as right and as beautiful.  

We have two homes and both are filled with Robin's artwork.  So, everyday we awake to her burning love for art.   That fire in her eyes has been there since I met her when she was a teenager and I know it was there to the end.  

I thank Robin for her life and for all it has meant to me for more than 50 years!  Bless you Robin and we all will look after your boys going forward.
