Ruth G. Einstein

Born in Boston on Nov 21, 1916 to the late Samuel Zalman Golov and Mollie (Sachs) Golov. Beloved stepdaughter of the late Barbara (Krakow) Golov. Loving mother of Ed and Margie Hurwitz, Walter Einstein and the late Dr. Jeri Faith Traub. Cherished grandmother of Julie & Jeff Stuecken, Joshua and Ali Hurwitz, Nancy and Greg Cohen, Paul and Shulamit Hurwitz, Amy Einstein, and Michael Hurwitz. Loving great grandmother of Sydney, Jack, Avi, Zoe, Nava, Elan, Jordan and Jacob. Beloved sister of the late Fannie Kasanoff.

Since 1949, Ruth was an ardent supporter of Maimonides School, having served on numerous committees and as a trustee on the Board of Directors of Maimonides. Actively supported New England Hebrew Academy, and was a volunteer for 25 years at the Hebrew SeniorLife. Ruth was a life member of Hadassah, ORT, and many other organizations.

Ruth was proud to have been a graduate of Girls’ Latin School, Boston, Mass.

Ruth and her husband started the Bay State Beauty Supply in 1936 and shared their lives and hard work for over 60 years.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday October 17, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard St., Brookline, MA. Burial to follow at Mishkan Tefila Memorial Park, 2619 Centre St., West Roxbury.Shiva will be held at her late residence. Due to the Holiday, Shiva will commence Saturday evening, Oct. 22, 2011 at 8:15pm and end Thursday morning, Oct. 27, 2011 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please send all donations to the Abraham J.
