Ruth Kass

Beloved sister, sister-in-law, aunt, niece, cousin and friend Ruth Lois Kass passed away at the Bedford Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Williamsburg, NY, on December 31, 2015 ,where she made her home. Rachel Leah, as she liked to be called was born in Boston, MA, the daughter of Benjamin and Selma (Isaacson) Kass, and step-daughter of Arthur Simons of Brooklyn, NY. Ruth was educated in Brookline, MA, and graduated from Boston State Teachers College with a Masters from Lesley College in Special Education. A teacher in both public and Jewish Schools, she was talented in art, music and dance. She was always the teacher. Rachel Leah leaves her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Irma and Norman Resnic, nieces and nephews, Suki and Jonathan Lapin, JoAnne and Michael Resnic, and great nieces and great nephews Sarina and Benjamin Lapin and Madeline and Jack Resnic and a loving community of staff and friends in the Williamsburg community.

Graveside services were officiated by Rabbi Moshe Liberow at the Kaminker Cemetery, Baker Street, West Roxbury, MA, Sunday, January 3 at 2 PM.

A traditional Memorial observance will be held at the home of Suki and Jonathan Lapin, 11 Moreland Green Drive, Worcester, MA, 01609.
