Samuel Adam Slater, son of Nancy Speert Slater, died in his home in Newport, Rhode Island on October 2, 2025.
Sam grew up in Minneapolis, MN and was a graduate of The Blake School. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Union College and an MBA from Fordham University. Sam worked in the financial asset management industry and volunteered for a number of organizations. Sam is survived by his mother, Nancy S. Slater, his father, Gerald E. Slater, and his brother, Daniel B. Slater, as well as numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
