Stephen P. Melzer

Stephen P. Melzer, age 58, of Newton passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Robin Vernon. Loving father of Gabrielle A. Vernon-Melzer and Anna F. Vernon-Melzer. Son of Dolores (Blau) Melzer and the late William Melzer. Brother of Jan Melzer. Son-In-Law of Roberta (Flashman) Vernon and the late Norman Levy Vernon.

A loving husband, father and son, Steve will be remembered through his many selfless acts of caring for others and his mischievous sense of humor. In addition to all his professional and personal accomplishments, his greatest joy was just being with his wife, daughters and adoring friends.

Services at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline on Sunday, January 5 at 10:00am. Burial to follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 41 Dedham Street, Sharon. Following the burial, memorial observance at his late residence, through 8pm, and continuing on Monday and Tuesday from 7-9pm.
