Sylvia Goldberg

Born in Bangor, ME, she was the dear daughter of the late Benjamin & Sarah (Waldman) Rubin, loving sister of the late Lillian N. Rubin & David Rubin.

Esteemed aunt of Marian L. Knapp of Newton. Great aunt of Philip E. Knapp & his wife Vicki Jackson Knapp of Newton and their children Hannah Rose & Samuel John. Great aunt of Daniel C. Knapp & his wife Mari Hirono Knapp of Shirley and their daughter Lina Sakura. Also survived by her nephew Arthur N. Gilbert of Denver, CO & niece Paula R. Gilbert of Fairfax, VA.

Sylvia was a 1941 graduate of the University of Maine and worked for many years in the Department of Economics at Northeastern University until her retirement. She loved playing bridge, especially with her friends at the Newton Senior Center.

A graveside funeral service will take place on Sunday, December 15th at 10:45 A.M. at Sharon Memorial Park, 120 Canton St., Sharon, MA.
