

Thelma S. “Tema” (Stein) Nason, of Concord, formerly of Brookline on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. Cherished longtime companion of Edward J. Bander of Concord. Devoted wife of the late Alvin Nason. Beloved mother of Deborah Nason, Steffi Hartley, Benjamin Nason and the late Jean Nason and Gerson Nason. Loving grandmother of Sam Nason and Alex Hartley. She is also survived by two nieces and four nephews.Graveside services at Shara Tfilo Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury on Sunday, April 21 at 11:00am. Memorial observance following the service at the home of Edward Bander through 6pm. A professional writer, Tema published Ethel: The Fictional Autobiography of Ethel Rosenberg (1990); two collections of short stories: Full Moon (1993) and A Stranger Here Myself (1980); and selections in The Crimson Edge: Older Women Writing (1996). Her articles and book reviews appeared in the Baltimore Sun and other publications. Tema was an Affiliated Scholar at the Brandeis Women’s Studies Research Center.
