Theodore S. Raphael

Theodore S. Raphael, formerly of Newton, passed away peacefully at his home at NewBridge in Dedham on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the age of 96.

He was an avid golfer and mathematician. A graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School, Ted worked as a CPA for the family business until he was 88.

Beloved husband of the late Laura (Oram) Silin and Roberta (Lait) Raphael, and dear brother of the late Gale and Richard. Loving father of Laurie Samuels and her husband David, and Harry Raphael and his wife Patricia. Cherished grandfather of Justin Samueli and his wife Rakefet, Hillary (Samuels) Glick and her husband Brian, Bradley Samuels, Tyler Raphael and his wife Maria, Madison Raphael and Grant Raphael and his wife Katie, and great grandfather of six.

Graveside services at the Shara Tfilo Cemetery, 776 Baker St., West Roxbury on Thursday, May 8 at 11:00am.

Memorial observance in the Interfaith Chapel at NewBridge on the Charles, 5000 Great Meadow Rd., Dedham from 1-8pm.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
