Wanda was born in Los Angeles and lived in Washington, D.C., Fairfax, St. Louis, Ft. Lauderdale, and finally in Dedham. She loved to travel and spent time in France, England, Scotland, Italy, Yugoslavia, Amsterdam, and in even more places - always wishing and hoping for one more big trip.
A self-taught artist, Wanda painted what she felt and experienced and never wanted to part with a painting, it was a part of her soul. In addition to painting, she loved good books, flowers, sunshine, a good laugh, music, friends, delicious food, milk chocolate and most of all, her family. She loved doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles, word searches, and playing Rummikub.
Warm, caring, generous, and independent, Wanda had an upbeat, positive outlook on life and the world.
Wanda was the beloved wife of the late Robert Boguslaw, and he was her best friend and dear partner. She was the devoted daughter of Fay and Sam Steinberg and the last remaining sister of Herbert, Paula, Amelia, and Stella. She always kept close in her heart her late daughters, Chelle Ramsey and Lisa Boguslaw, who loved her deeply.
She is survived by her loving and cherished family: daughter Janet Boguslaw and son-in-law Howie Kaufman, grandsons Alex Kaufman and Daniel Kaufman, granddaughter Ava Holtzman, nieces and nephews, Joni and Jeffrey Goodman, and Shelley and William Weinstein. She is also survived by her beloved grandnieces and nephews, Dawn and Adam Stern, Craig and Denise Goodman, Samantha Baron, Sabrina Van Wart and her great-grand niece and nephews, Sarah Stern, Andrew Stern, Benjamin Goodman, and William Goodman. She leaves many other caring relatives. She was devoted to her many friends who she held dear in Florida and across the country.
The family would like to thank her caregivers in Florida- Kettelie, Eddie-Jean, Cynthia and others, her amazing team at Newbridge on the Charles - Dadie, Jean and – too many others to name, and her extra caregivers - Erin and Gigi. You made her later years easier through kindness, friendship, and careful care. We, her family, are indebted to you.
