

Wendy Barbara Katz, 84, of Bedford, Massachusetts, and Boca Raton, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Wendy was born on December 1, 1941, in Montreal, Quebec, to Emmanuel and Golda Epstein. She graduated from McGill University and later earned a Master of Education degree from University of Florida.
Wendy was known for her love of Scrabble and spent many years playing online with friends from around the world. She also faithfully played Mah Jongg each week with her dear friends in Boca Raton. Wherever Wendy went, she formed lifelong friendships and meaningful connections.
She served with dedication as a trustee of the Carole Epstein Foundation, helping support ovarian cancer research, medical research, and numerous charitable causes.
Wendy is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Joseph Katz; her daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Pierre Beaupré; her grandchild, Jordan Beaupré; her brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Annette Epstein; and her great-nephew, Jeremy Epstein.
She was predeceased by her close and dear sister, Carole Epstein.
A funeral service will be held on May 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Temple Emunah, 9 Piper Rd, Lexington followed by interment at Beit Olam East Cemetery, 42 Concord Road, Wayland. Visitation will follow at the family home in Bedford.
Shiva will be held Thursday May 14th, 6:30-8:30pm at the family home in Bedford. Sunday May 17 1-3:30pm at the home of Stephanie and Pierre in Millis. Monday 6:30-8:30 pm and Tuesday 6:30-8:30 pm in Bedford.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute or The Lustgarten Foundation in support of pancreatic cancer research.
Wendy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
