Yakov Gurevich

Beloved husband of the late Nina Gurevich, cherished father of Yelena Charny and Michael Gurevich. Adoring grandfather of Miriam, Rachel, Yoseph, Isaac, David, and Ariella. After having served in the Soviet military as a pediatric physician, and immigrating to Boston in 1980 with his wife and his daughter, he continued to work in the medical field in the US. He was proud of becoming an American citizen, and loved living in Boston with his family.

The memorial will be held Monday, October 10, 2016 at 1 pm in the Olita Cemetery section of the Baker Street Jewish Cemeteries, located on 776 Baker Street in West Roxbury. Shiva Maariv prayer services will be held at 7 pm at 36 Wayne Road, Needham. Shiva will continue on to Tuesday morning, October 11, and will conclude at 1 pm, in light of Yom Kippur.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Yakov's name may be made to the Russian Jewish Community Foundation, RJCF.
