Al, your warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will always be remembered!

I am so sad to finally find Al, after he is gone. I had been looking for him, but maybe spelled his last name wrong? I haven’t seen him in many years. 
“Rowdy Al” as we affectionately called him, was there for me when most people were not. 30 years ago when I gave birth to my daughter as a single mom.  Back then it wasn’t a good thing to be a single mom. Rowdy Al was a wonderful man always laughing and supportive. He was the first person I took my baby to see on our first big outing from Queens to Manhattan. We went to visit him at his job. I have a photo! Wonderful memories I will cherish.

I knew Al for over 30 years and it was from him that I learned the meaning of both family and friendship. He was a gentle soul, and a brother / best friend to me. Much of my own, younger life was chronicled in the pictures he took. His passing was too soon and a great loss - the world was a better place with him in it.
