Alberto Febus of Brooklyn, NY peacefully passed away on November 25, 2019 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving siblings and their families, Diana Foret (NJ), Sonia Baez (NY), Zulma Hernandez (OH), Maritza Lugo (NY), Frankie Lugo (TX); his son Elliot Febus and grandson Nicholas Febus (GA). He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 24 years Eva Febus, adored mother Ada Acosta, brothers Harry and Angel Febus, niece Kathy Baez and father Manuel Febus.
Born on February 28, 1959 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Alberto (or Tito to those who knew him) grew up in Brooklyn, NY where he thrived and lived a full life. He was a faithful employee at New York Presbyterian Hospital of Brooklyn NY where he was a beloved figure among the hospital community. Tito had a great love for his city from enjoying shopping in local vintage shops to experiencing all that Coney Island has to offer.
He and his loving wife Eva lived a full life. Together they were an example of how to live with passion, from Broadway shows to traveling to the islands. They discovered the secret on how to live their lives together to the fullest.
The legacy Tito leaves behind is the way in which he connected and drew people together. He overflowed with life, allowing him to experience those around him fully. Alberto Febus was a man of honest and vibrant love and he will be deeply and immensely missed by those blessed to have known him.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held at the Joseph G. Duffy Funeral Home at 255 9th St. in Brooklyn NY on November 29, 2019 from 9-11 AM and 7-9 PM.
