Born on September 24, 1937, in the town of Francofonte, Siracusa, Sicily, Anthony was the cherished son of Gaetana and Joseph Marchisello.
Anthony, at the age of 17, immigrated to America with his family on January 7, 1955, aboard the Christopher Columbus. Despite the distance, his heart remained rooted in his beloved hometown of Francofonte, and he made every effort to revisit it as often as possible. Anthony maintained a close bond with his cousins in Francofonte throughout his life, cherishing their connection until his final days.
Throughout his life, Anthony was devoted to his family. His devotion knew no bounds, especially to his beloved wife, Lina Marchisello, who stood as the cornerstone of his life, his best friend, his soulmate. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared countless memories that will be treasured forever. Their son, Joseph (deceased) daughter, Tina, and son-in-law, Nicholas, were the pride and joy of Anthony's heart, a testament to his unwavering commitment to those he loved.
He also held a special place in his heart for his nieces, whom he adored, filling his life with joy and laughter.
He leaves behind many beloved family members including his sister, Mary, his brother Leo and sister-in-law, Maria along with grandchildren, Nicolina and Anthony.
Anthony will be remembered not only for his unwavering love and devotion to his family, his passion for his AC Milan soccer team, but above all his kind and gentle spirit that touched the lives of all who knew him. His legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to have known him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
As we bid farewell to Anthony, we take comfort in knowing that his memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved and in the countless lives he touched along the way. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and light that he brought into this world.
