I knew Tony since 1964, 56 years, too many memories to just pick one.
Tony stood up for me at my wedding in Chicago in 1989 along with Bill Meyler & Manny Calabrese. It certainly was some of our happiest days together. Tony will always be a part of my life & in my thoughts.
My sincerest condolences to the Masella family.

To the Masella family,
My sister, Kathie Jones-Silber, still lives in the old neighborhood, and she told me about Anthony's passing. Having not lived there for many years, I had not seen Anthony in a long while, but I remember him fondly from my childhood days when we came to Brooklyn to visit Grandma Treacy and Uncle John, who lived next door to the Masellas for many years, and after we moved from Cleveland to Brooklyn when I saw him regularly around 16th Street and 9th Avenue. For many years after I later moved to Manhattan I often saw him in the nabe when I was visiting my Mom, who still lived across the street from the Masella clan, and sister Kathie. I'm sorry that I won't attend Anthony's funeral, but I have several additional risk factors for Covid-19 that make it un-advisable at this time, but I will be thinking about Anthony and his family the morning of December 22nd. Condolences to you all. Dick Jones mediabum@rcn.com

My sincere condolences to the Masella Family. Tony had a heart of gold and was an amazing, kind & generous person. My family always remembered how he helped us when my sister Janie was in the hospital dying.. He drove us back & forth each and every day for over a month after working all day. We never even had to ask him, he was always there for us during a tragic time. Now Janie will get to thank her dear friend after all these years. God bless you all especially your dear, sweet mom who raised a wonderful family along with your dad 🙏🙏Rest In Peace Dear Tony❤️❤️
