Christine Marie Schneider

Christine Marie Schneider, born October 7, 1962, in Brooklyn, New York, as Christine Marie Avarello, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, in Brooklyn, surrounded by her loving family. She was 63 years old.

Christine was an amazing and selfless mother, wife, sister, daughter, and cherished Nonna. Her heart was boundless, and she devoted her life to caring for others—always putting family, friends, and community before herself. To know Christine was to feel supported, loved, and welcomed without condition.

She worked for many years as an administrative assistant at Fillmore Real Estate, where her dedication and kindness were deeply appreciated. Beyond her professional life, Christine gave countless hours to the New York City public school system, volunteering thousands of hours as PTA President at PS 95 Rachel Carson High School and PS 121. Her tireless advocacy for children and families left a lasting impact on her community and reflected her unwavering commitment to making life better for others.

Christine is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, Charles Schneider; her three children, Annmarie Stangarone, Michele Schneider, and Charles Schneider; her son-in-law, Luke Stangarone; and her adored grandchildren, Luke and Philip Stangarone, who brought her endless joy. She also leaves behind her loving mother, Theresa Farinacci; her siblings, Patricia Tocco, Lisa Rubino, and Peter Tocco; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Christine was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the family she cherished, and the love she gave so freely.

Visitation services will be held at Cusimano & Russo Funeral Home, located at 2005 West 6th St, Brooklyn, NY 11223, on January 29, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. An additional visitation will take place on January 30, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the same location.

Interment will occur at St. Charles / Resurrection Cemeteries, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735, on January 30, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
