Better known as “Don”, “ Donnie” , and “Poppy”, was one of nine children, born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He remained a tried and true Brooklynite for his entire life! Don was the father of 6 children, 10 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. He had a wonderful career as a gifted carpenter and later expanded his artistic talents in making stained glass during his retirement years. Always the first to spring into action, Donnie was always there for everyone who needed a hand or rescue. His generous humble heart was as grand as his storytelling. He was the life of the party for all of us and gave to his family with love. There will never be anyone like him. His memory will burn in our hearts.
A visitation for Donnie will be held Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at M.J. Smith Sons, 255 Ninth Street, Brooklyn, NY 11215. A mass of christian burial will occur Friday, April 29, 2022 from 10:00 AM at St Saviour Church, 611 8th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11215.
