Donna Baker

“Donna Baker, daughter of Lillian Ayoub and Victor Boolbol, sibling of Patrice Day and Jeffrey Bodell, wife of Michael Baker, and mother of Jennifer and Christina Baker, passed away on April 5th, 2017. Born in Brooklyn, Donna attended Brooklyn College and, starting from the age of 19, devoted most of her life to education. She taught first at parochial schools Our Lady of Peace and St. Saviour Elementary; then went on to conduct administrative work at New York City Public Schools, first at District 15, then P.S. 38, and finally, P.S. 39 before she retired two years ago.

Donna was a devoted parishioner of both St. Saviour and Holy Name of Jesus Churches. She lived to teach; she adored her family; and she was tremendously loved by everyone in her life. Donna was an incredible mother to her two daughters and a loving wife to her husband. She will be terribly missed. Always smiling, always inspiring, and always happy to lend a hand to anyone in need. Donna, we adore you and thank you for blessing our lives.”

Visiting Thursday April 6th from 7-9pm and Friday April 7th from 2-5 and 7-9 pm at Joseph G. Duffy Funeral Home, 255 9th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11215

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday April 8th at 9:45 am at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 245 Prospect Park West, Brooklyn, NY 11215.

Interment to follow at The Green-Wood Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
