Eugene "Cookie" Hinton on November 24th, 2016. Beloved husband of June (nee McHugh). Loving father of Dianne, Kenneth, Glenn (Evelina) and June (William) Wilson. Beloved grandfather of Kerrin, Kenneth, William, Ethan and Kyle. Predeceased by his loving brothers and sisters Theresa, Walter, James and Carole. Survived by his dear brother, Joseph Nelson. Cookie held 2 full times jobs simultaneously: Longshoreman for the Farrell Line and Truck Driver for Schaeffer Brewery. Proud 25+ year survivor of Prostate Cancer. Upon retirement Cookie took up the art of baking; one of his specialties was his cheesecake. He was a beloved fixture of 11th street and 5th Avenue. He will be greatly missed. Visiting Monday November 28th from 2-5 and 7-9 pm at Joseph G. Duffy Funeral Home, 255 9th Street, Brooklyn. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday November 29th, 2016 at St. Thomas Aquinas RC Church. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn.
