Frances J. Corace

CORACE, Frances J. (nee: Russo) on July 13, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Frank. Loving mother of Joseph & Nydia, Vincent & Bella and Valerie & Dominic Scartozzi. Adoring grandmother of Frank & Kristyn, Edward & Bonnie, Jonathan & Lauren, Matthew, Jessica and step-grandmother of Allia. Dear great-grandmother of Michael, Merissa, Evan and Louis. Frances became a charter member of the Kiwanis Club of Mapleton in 2001. She was a very active member who attended many fundraisers and service projects to benefit our children and the needy. She served as the meeting “fine master” collecting money for Kiwanians without their pins. There was much fun teasing her, but she always got her dollars. She attended many International Conventions and put many of us to shame with her tireless energy. Frances could be found on many occasions serving meals to the children and parents at the Ronald McDonald House. She helped create Holidays parties for over 14 years at a local battered woman’s shelter. She read to children at a local Reading is Fundamental project, she supported the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Center and helped wherever and however she could. Frances was very active in St. Finbar’s Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn. She was a member of the Marion Rosary Society and the Golden Age Club. She volunteered her services monthly to sell goods at the St. Finbar’s Flea Market for many years. She helped with the St. Finbar’s Children’s Christmas Party and the Las Vegas night at the church for many years. Frances will be sorely missed for her energy and loving spirit Reposing Wednesday & Thursday, 2-5 & 7-10 at the CUSIMANO & RUSSO FUNERAL HOME, 2005 West 6th Street, Brooklyn, NY. Funeral Mass 9:45 am Friday at St. Finbar’s RC Church. Interment to follow in Rolling Hills Memorial Park, Morganville, NJ.
