Giovanni "John" Ercolino

It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Giovanni Ercolino, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who departed this life peacefully on May 9, 2025.

Giovanni was the devoted husband of Concetta, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership. He was the proud and loving father of Joseph, Enza and Joseph Ferrantelli, Vikki and Joseph Mullady, Salvatore and Frank. His greatest joy was his family, and his legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Stefanie, John, Theresa, Frank, Christine, Michael, Jonathan, Matthew, Eric, Joseph, Alex, Julia, and Amelia, and his adored great-grandchildren: Anthony, Sal, Gio, Isabella, Jonathan, Penelope, Antonia, Sofia, Scarlet, Matthew, Matteo, and Ariana.

Giovanni lived a life marked by hard work, generosity, and a passion for his craft. He spent many years working as an electrician, and a cook where he was known for his skill and dedication for several well-known restaurants in Brooklyn where he created memorable menus. His culinary talents and warm hospitality left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of enjoying his food.

Above all, Giovanni was a man of strong values, deep faith, and unwavering devotion to his family. He will be remembered for his wisdom and warmth.

He leaves behind a legacy of love that will never be forgotten. His presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of all who knew him.

A visitation for Giovanni will be held Sunday, May 11, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Cusimano & Russo Funeral Home, 2005 West 6th St, Brooklyn, NY 11223. Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Monday, May 12, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St Mary Mother of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 2326 84th St, Brooklyn, NY 11214. Entombment to follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum, 2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
