She was a strong woman until the end.  Now she is in a better place and from there she will be giving all the strength the family needs.  R.I.P.

My Dear Grandmother Giusepina Dimare has passed away. She was 95 years old and lived a long wonderful life. She accomplished so much., moving here to America from Sicily, raising her children here, making a life here, finding work as a seamstress with others she knew ,becoming a proud home owner, & being a loved member of the community. She had a hello & a smile for everyone she met or who passed by. Her home and kitchen were always open to everyone. She  fed so so many with her delicious cooking & the amazing vegetable gardens and fig trees that she & my grandfather were so devoted to  tending. Although she was 95 years old , her body  was healthy except for dementia. The nursing home was in quarantine since march and yet they still infected many residents with Covid19. 
She fought a good fight for a few weeks and updates from nurses told us she  was fighting it & them! But she took a turn for the worse on may 4th  & I guess it was finally her time. She passed exactly 1 month to the day of my father’s passing.
May you rest in peace my sweet Grandmother.  I have missed the healthy you for a long time now & I knew you werent yourself or aware of who we were for so long & It was heartbreaking...
No more suffering or fighting. Find your most peaceful resting place now my dear Grandmother. I love & miss you so much.😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

From the moment I met her, she was trying to feed me. Every time I saw her in fact. She would just glow and give me a huge hug. I will always cherish the memories I have of Guiseppina Di Mare.
