My heart, prayers, and deepest thoughts are with all of you on this day and the days ahead. I understand firsthand the magnitude of this moment in life. I pray as you navigate through your own individual process of healing you continue to allow your faith and the love that serves you to guide and strengthen you. These times which we are living through only makes the circumstances so much more difficult. Your Father with his own illness stood at my Father’s burial with the family. I can’t begin to tell you how much that meant to me. It speaks volumes of how much love is present amongst us. It is representative of the strength I long admired him for. That’s what we have to be; strong. For our own mental health and well-being and for each other. I’m so very fortunate and BLESSED to have each of you in my life. What you mean to me will be more than words could ever describe but just know you’ve contributed to my process and journey and for that I thank you. Thank you for being truly a FAMILY to me. On behalf of my ✞ Father Alfredo Diaz Sr. in heaven having witnessed the relationship between him and ✞ Grego and the LOVE they shared I wish you all PEACE and SOLACE. My heart is heavy but it is also full because of you all. May God continue to watch over and protect the family and may the light of the Lord carry our “Papa” Grego home. I pray he’s fishing 🎣 with my Dad and my Tio Pizarro. May all of our lost loved one’s rest peacefully and watch over us.

I Love You More (Mama Lucy’s Voice),

Papa! I cant thank you enough for sharing you baseball time with me growing up. For changing your games to let me watch cartoons and sitting there through it. Growing up with you was a blessing I never took for granted. I couldn’t love you any more than I do at this moment and I hope you know how special you are.

I will miss you so very much that it hurts to think about it but God is one lucky man to have you!

Until next time papa! Te quiero mucho

As a mentor and a great man that not matter always showed support to a total stranger!
From going fishing to introducing me to New York City!
It hurts but at least you are not alone and I know you and Dad are looking down on all of us .. protecting and guiding us!
In my heart forever!!

Abuelo, I love you and I will miss you. Ryan Raul was only able to meet you when he was in my belly but I will tell him about you and the love you had for your family. You will never be forgotten.
