Helena A. Miskel

Helena Ann Miskel of Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 18, 2026. A life-long resident of Park Slope, Helena worked for decades as an executive at Merrill Lynch. After retirement, she began volunteering at Community Board 6, a position that she held for many years and enjoyed very much.

Family was very important to Helena. She was a loyal daughter, sister and cousin and was a devoted aunt to her niece and nephews, great-nieces and great-great niece. She was proud of her Irish heritage and was the family historian, researching the ancestry of both her parent’s lines and sharing the results in detailed albums.

Helena is predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Helen Miskel, her sister Mary Fois and her brother Thomas Miskel. She is survived by her niece Laura Bosley, her nephews Robert, Mark and Michael Fois, and their families

Visitation will be held at Joseph G. Duffy, 255 Ninth Street, Brooklyn, NY 112153905, US, on September 25, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at Church of Saint Saviour, 611 8th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11215, on September 26, 2026, at 10:00 am.
