Rest in Peace My little Ian ( as I used to call you) .. You were always such a welcome sight when you would Grace us with your presence in Baker Street.. To me, your were the kindest, most gentle soul. We always had the best chats .. The world is a sadder place without you in it ..

This news of Ian's passing was felt heavily here in Massachusetts.  I remember in the early years of getting to know Chrissy's family and friends, meeting Ian for the first time. Like so many of his friends, I was struck by his genuine nature and spirit of goodwill.  It was all captured in his smile, which on its own carried a civility and goodness that made a lasting impression...

In this time which must be impossibly difficult, please know we are praying for your family.  The human loss is so great; Judy, Bobby and Sarah, you are in our hearts, and Ian will always be.

To me, Ian will always be the cool older kid from down the block. As an adult, he left his mark on the neighborhood as a person who would always lend a hand to anybody in need and always make the time to say hello. When I came back to 8th street after moving to another city, he would make me feel welcomed back home.  One of those people who made the neighborhood feel like a neighborhood! My condolences to Judy, Bob, Sarah, and family.  Rest easy, Ian.

It has been too long, and this is just too soon.  Though it seems like it’s been a lifetime, my memories of the time we spent together remain dear to me.

I have a lot of memories with Ian I rode a motorcycle for the first time with him on his old Vespa. The most recent memory with him was painting a whole apartment with him and my dad and he fell asleep during lunch break with a pizza in his hand I will always love him he was one of the funniest guys I know and I will forever miss uncle Ian.

Extending a heart felt embrace to Ian’s loved ones, mom Judy, dad Bob, sister Sarah, brother-in-law Dan, loving nephew Joseph, and loving niece Maya, many other family and loving friends. Ian’s kindnesses and compassion stood out amongst us. He always had time for us. We are honored to have been in his life.  My grandchildren grieve knowing, “Uncle Ian” as they lovingly referred to him, has gone forward. May we remember him by his generosity and gentleness. He is a leader in man’s most precious gifts. Ian gave kindness, love, compassion, and we will forever love him.

We hold his memory dearly and with joy in our lives. Ian always had time to lend support and kindnesses to us and especially to Brooklyn and Derek. We are filled with gratitude for having Ian in our lives. It is truly an honor to know his gentleness and compassion. Extending a heart felt embrace to his mom Judy, dad Bob, sister Sarah,  brother-in-law Dan, his loving nephew Joseph, and dear sweet Niece Maya.  Ian will forever be loved.

I never heard it until you pulled it off the first time we went out. The Irish good-bye.

My brother this is the last video you sent me in June of this year.. You were on a mission to Nathan’s to eat frog legs. You tried to convince me to leave my home in CT and take the 3 hour drive. Lol. I should’ve done it knowing that would be the last time I saw you. I’m sorry I didn’t come thru. We spoke last Monday when you got to the hospital and you seemed to be in good sprits. You said you wanted my mom’s food when you got out. I’m sorry brother that you left us so early. We shared a ton of good times and I wish we saw each other more. Your final words to me you said if I don’t make it, I’m causing havoc up there with your brother. I know he welcomed you with open arms. Rest Easy little bro. I’ll see you when I see you hopefully no time soon.

You lit up every room you entered and made friends with everyone, no matter who they were or where they came from. You lived life to the fullest.

Thank you for your honesty, your kindness, and your friendship. Thank you for always being there.

You were an amazing friend, and I’m going to miss you. You may be physically gone, but you’ll never be forgotten, you’ll always live on in our hearts and memories.

It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my friend and former colleague, Ian. Ian was always there—always ready to listen, always a person I could turn to no matter the circumstance. Beyond the work, he brought warmth, understanding, and a steady presence that made even the hardest days lighter.
