With unbearable sorrow, I deliver the news of my Mother - Irene Connolly - passing from this life in the late afternoon of January 1st 2016. For five months she fiercely battled incurable Brain Cancer, and along the way, she redefined what the words Dignity, Grace, and Love truly mean.

Mom – our hearts are broken, but we have so many memories to cherish thanks to your immeasurable love and boundless generosity. We will see you again!

She is survived by her husband Joseph Connolly Sr. and her children: Joseph Jr., Denise O’Hare (Patrick), Robert (Laura), and Michael (Megan). Also her grandchildren, Cara Marie, Ryan, Kyle, Timothy, Brendan, Tony, Emily and Will. Loving aunt to Al and his wife Marilyn and Jeannie and her husband John. Wonderful sister to Jack Galligan, Kathy Galligan, John Cappadona, Denise Galligan and Noel Ubinski.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bcured.org to benefit brain tumor and brain cancer research. This organization directly funds Dr. P's lab and research and we think mom would like the idea. We have looked at quite a few brain research sites and this one allows smaller $ donations starting at $50.00. Most others start at $250.00. All donations can be made in honor of Irene Connolly.
