She lived in the Windsor-Terrace area for 85 years. She took advantage of the horseback riding, ice skating and the boating available in nearby Prospect Park. She was a bobby-soxer who swooned for Frank Sinatra, her first crush, which continued to recount through her later years.
She had a keen sense of humor and enjoyed telling jokes and loved little pranks which created lots of laughter and memorable moments with her.
Most notable, Jean served as a Marine, stationed state-side during the Korean War. She met and married her husband, Earl, (who pre-deceased her) while in the Corps.
She is survived by a loving family which includes her daughters Denise, and Dale, her 4 grandsons with their wives, 3 great-granddaughters and a large extended family of nieces and nephews.
A mass in celebration of her will be held on Saturday May 9 2026 at 10:00AM at Holy Name of Jesus Church 245 Prospect Park West, Brooklyn, NY 11215.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her parish, Holy Name of Jesus Church 245 Prospect Park West, Brooklyn, NY 11215.
