Joseph DiCola , 89, died Thursday at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx. He was born in Brooklyn and lived there his entire life.
Prior to his retirement, he was a long-time Linotype Operator at Sterns and Bloomingdales. He was the son of the late Teresa and Luigi DeCola. He was predeceased by his brother Salvatore and is survived by sisters Mary and Millie and many nieces and nephews.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Samuel Cardinal Stritch Council #4661.
Joseph was an avid amateur photographer and long-time Yankee fan. He had a great sense of humor and a wonderful outlook on life. He was a very kind and gentle man, an outstanding person to all that knew him. He remained very close with his extended family, especially with his nieces and nephews.
