Gerofsky, Joseph, Passed away on April 25, 2012, Third day of Iyar in the year 5772. He was born November 9, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY. Loving son of Herman and Anne. Devoted husband of the late Doris. Beloved father of Daniel (Iris) Cherished grandfather of Brianna and Deborah. Loving brother to the late David. Loving uncle to Anne, Vicki, Beth, Robin, Michael, Robert and Sandy. He was co-owner along with his brother David of Gerofsky Bros. Textile Waste, which was established in 1890. Former National Secretary of American Jewish Congress. He helped to form the Interracial Council for Business Opportunity. He was a member of the Masonic order. He was a very caring, generous and charitable man, who always wanted the best for his family.
Services will be held at Washington Cemetery (Bay Parkway and McDonald Ave) Brooklyn, NY on Sunday at 10:30 AM.
Shiva Condolence calls will be held at the home of Joseph Gerofsky on Sunday only. Shiva will also be observed at the home of Daniel & Iris Gerofsky Monday - Friday
