Kara,
From the moment I met you, I felt I'd known you for years. As a shy person, I was so nervous to meet you, but your big, warm, genuine personality instantly put me at ease. Thank you for bearing hours of traffic to come and meet my babies. Thank you for letting us make you drive even longer after you arrived, up to the mountains, so we could show you the beauty of our state, a beauty that could never compare to the beautiful soul we have lost. I'm so grateful to have shared that adventure with you. Thank you for being so welcoming and warm, giving and kind. We became sisters through our love for two brothers, and you were a caring, loving Auntie to all of my children--that truly means so much to me. I am so thankful to have known you and been a part of your family and you a part of mine. I will cherish your memory always, and pray for peace and comfort for the many who are mourning your loss along with us. Until we meet again ❤️
Heather

My heart is overwhelmed with disbelief that you are no longer with us. I pray for strength for all of us especially those who will miss you the most. Words are hard to come by at this time but your love will last the rest of our lives. I am thankful to have called you family and most of all thank you for being loving Alex.

I am so heartbroken and yet so blessed to have had the opportunity to bond with you. You opened up your house and your heart to me this summer and we created memories that I will cherish forever...... our foodie adventures (especially the stinky food store you went running out of), Seaside Heights stories, jokes and shenanigans, getting rushed out of the MET and wanting to take one more picture, hearing YOUR version of how you met Alex as we walked through the park (of course your version was a love story compared to his version). We laughed a lot during our time together and you nicknamed me Alexa since I was constantly throwing out random bits of useless information. Your love and essence will live with me and I am eternally grateful! I love you Kara!

My deepest and warmest condolences go out to my cousin Alex- her life partner, and to her family whom she loved and boasted about often!
Much love from Mingee

My sweet friend Kara, You are an angel in heaven now but I will never forget the fun times we had together. The helicopter ride at the balloon festival. It was so tiny the two of us barely fit! And no doors! Pilot asked if we wanted a roller coaster ride or granny ride. I said coaster n u said granny lol. The look on ur face as we started flying up n down lol. The Pilot gave us the craziest trip. You cried n I laughed so hard that you made me cry. LoL. I won’t forget all the times you slept over on my water bed. You wanted me to call a tow truck to help get you up . Haha. Here's a picture of us Meeting Mr Met. You were terrified of him lol I kept saying “don’t worry Kara he doesn’t bite”. Again the look on your face was priceless. We had so much fun! May you Rest In Peace. I love you and I will miss you ♥️♥️♥️ You had the greatest spirit now you can share it with all the other Angels.

Dear Auntie Kara,

I loved the toys you got me this past Christmas. I even wore my Supergirl suit to Mrs. Savary's Pre-school class at Resurrection! All the kids were so jealous. I told them that you and Alex were the best Auntie and Uncle ever!

I am so sad and am going to miss you sooo much but mommy and daddy say that you are with Jesus and can still see and hear me, and that if I pray really hard, I can hear you too! I promise to pray with you every night before bed and will try not to cry when I do.

I love you and hope that I can see you again when I go up to Heaven too.

Love,

Willow

Much like dawn or dusk, and the space in between, God's Creation of this thing that we call life is not about beginning or end. There is flow, there is change and there are the words and deeds by which we live. My family will not say, "Goodbye" dear Kara, as we know that you are still with us, and we with you. Your life should, and will, be celebrated, as it was a life lived by word and deed that today, and for time eternal, shall keep you close to His side. We will miss both the sister that you were to Daizee and I and, perhaps even more, the adored Auntie Kara that you were to our girls Lily, Bellarose and Willow. Thank you for blessing us with your beautiful spirit and loving my brother Alex as fiercely as you do. With love eternal, in this life and the next - Nelson, Daizee, Lily, Bellarose & Willow.
