I am so sorry to hear of Laura's passing. We worked together at Downstate, and it was always a pleasure working with Laura. She was smart and friendly and lovely. She always took the time to help even though she had a daunting pile of her own work. She always had a smile on her face and always asked about my kids. As a more junior, female member of the organization , I remember her giving me a wink and a thumbs up after I gave a presentation to our senior leadership. That meant the world to me - that little gesture of support and recognition. That kind spirit is what will remain in my heart of Laura. I hope that those moments of her kindness and generosity remain with you as well. She was truly a wonderful colleague and person. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Laura was one of the nicest, caring and helpful people it was my pleasure to know at NYCHHC.
We walked home together over the Manhattan Bridge the day of the big blackout. When I, (not in the best of shape) felt I couldn't go on, she insisted on staying with me until I could continue. She walked me to her home, giving me water and a rest, after which
I continued on my own.
She was such a generous kind and caring person.
I am stunned and deeply saddened at her untimely passing. May she find peace.

Laura was such a pleasure to work with. She always met you with a smile and was a truly collaborative partner, something we need more of in our industry. I'm deeply saddened to hear of her passing and send condolences and warm thoughts to her family.

I am devastated to hear of this loss. Laura was a fierce advocate and formidable adversary for the former HHC. While always on opposing sides, she always brought a humanity to the healthcare business which is often lost in the “business” discussion. We have truly lost a good person, an advocate and someone I considered a friend. My sincerest condolences to the family.

My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Laura’s beautiful family on her passing. I had the real pleasure, both professional and personal, of working with Laura for more than a dozen years. She represented HHC (as it was then called) and SUNY Downstate in Healthfirst’s governance, understood how to rely on Healthfirst to help her patients and hospital, and was deeply knowledgeable about our unique model as a hospital-sponsored health insurer. Most recently she represented the Cornell physicians exceedingly well in their relationship with HF and was always searching for ways to collaborate on quality and other efforts that would benefit patients. Her loss is a grievous blow to everyone who worked with her, as she was both deeply respected as a professional and well loved by everyone who had the opportunity to know her. She was part of the Healthfirst family and shared herself with us. We are grieving the loss of a beautiful, dedicated, and supremely competent friend who really cared about the patients and communities served by her employer organizations and was unfailingly delightful to work with. Personally and on behalf of Healthfirst, I extend our prayers and wishes for peace to all who knew and loved her, and especially to her husband and children.

Laura was an extremely intelligent person, who was dedicated to her work as well as a caring mother and wife.
When Laura came into a room she always had a smile on her face. She was happy to see you.
I remember if you needed Laura's assistance, she provided it to you immediately even if she was busy on a project. It was a pleasure working with Laura.
Laura will be missed by family, friends and colleagues but she will always be with us in spirit.
My condolences to Laura's family.

Laura will be truly missed! She was truly a gem and had an amazing personality. Laura was always helpful and went above and beyond her duties. My interactions with her were few but the vast knowledge she shared at our interactions were invaluable. I will surely miss her infectious smile and laughter.
We miss you Laura and my deepest condolences to the family
