Leon was born and raised in Brooklyn. A former Golden Gloves contender and semi-pro boxer, he graduated from NYU and went on to a dedicated career with the NYC Human Resources Administration. He was a true humanitarian and a devout dog lover.
Leon is survived by his daughter, wife, stepson and son-in-law, as well as his sister-in-law, many nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces and his lifelong best friend Aaron Schaer.
