Lucy was my downstairs neighbor on Prospect Park West for a short time. She had such radiance, a lovely smile and always a kind word, so devoted to her beautiful little dachshund. I was stunned to stumble across the notice in today's New York Times. I have no idea what happened to Lucy, but I know well how difficult it is when a young person is taken. My heart goes out to Lucy's family and all those privileged to know her better than I. May she rest in peace.

I also worked with Lucy at NYU. Lucy was a sweet, endearing person both to her coworkers, and especially to her patients. Always with a smile, Lucy worked hard and she will be greatly missed. May she rest in peace and may the strength of family and friends be with her loved ones at this time and always.

Lucy was a source of inspiration for me. I went to school with her at NYU. She was an exceptional human being. An honest, kind, smart, warm, friendly girl with a big heart, who always stood up for what was right, even if she was standing alone. She was beautiful both inside and out. Lucy, I miss you and I'm praying for you...the world will never be the same without you. You were an angel. My deepest, heartfelt condolences go out to her family and loved ones.

My deepest thoughts and prayers are with the family of Lucy. Lucy was my student when we were both at the NYU College of Nursing. She was a wonderful and compassionate person and a truly amazing human being. I will remember her smile and her intelligence. The world was a better place because Lucy was in it. She will be missed by all who knew her. Dr. Susan Lombardo (Buffalo, NY)
