Born in Sicily in 1939, Luigi immigrated to New York in 1960 in pursuit of a better future for his family. He was a hardworking man and took pride in every job he undertook, always putting his family first.
He shared 66 years of marriage with his wife, Antonina, who was always by his side. Together, they built a life filled with love and hard work. Their bond was inspiring to many, and they shared a partnership that carried them through every chapter of life.
Luigi was the proud father of three daughters, grandfather of six, and great-grandfather of four. His family was the heart of his world, and he found great joy in watching each new generation grow.
He will be remembered for his love of nature, hunting, and country music. He especially cherished his time upstate, where he could be in the woods, enjoy the quiet of the outdoors, and listen to the music he loved most. Luigi was always outside, always moving — he loved to stay active and could never sit still for long. Whether working with his hands or taking a walk, he found comfort in staying busy and being out in the fresh air.
Luigi will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in all who loved him.
A visitation for Luigi will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Cusimano & Russo Funeral Home, 2005 West 6th St, Brooklyn, NY 11223.
