Margaret Louise Abson was born on September 9,1965 to the parents of Ruden Richmond Sr. and Mary Lee Fuller. She met her beloved husband Glenn Abson Sr. here in Brooklyn N.Y. Margaret and Glenn became the proud parents of; Glenn Lynel Abson Jr., Martia Mona Abson, and Genese Morgan Abson.
Margaret grew up in the Wyckoff houses in Brooklyn, New York and later moved to the Red Hook Houses in Brooklyn. She began working with the New York
Housing Authority for 14 years and then moved on to the MTA Bridge and Tunnel at the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. Margaret was an excellent mother to her three children. She was an amazing cook, a generous person, knew exactly what to say in a moment, and always saw the good in others and had a very pleasant and loving attitude towards everyone.
On January 13,1996 Margaret made one of the most important decisions of her life, when she dedicated her life to worship and serve her God Jehovah as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Margaret valued the privilege she had to encourage and preach to others both inside and outside the congregation.
On Sunday August 2, 2020 Sister Abson unfortunately encountered the “Enemy Death” at an untimely and unexpected Moment in her life. She leaves behind to grieve her death her loving husband Glenn Abson Sr. of 24 years. Her children; Glenn Abson Jr,(Daughter in law Kalisha Abson), Martia Mona Abson, Genese Morgan Abson, and Granddaughter Aubree Maya Abson.
She also leaves behind her four siblings; Micheal Richmond (California), Ruden Richmond (Columbia S.C.), Tyrone Richmond and (Wife Gloria Richmond) of (Tennessee), and Richard Richmond and (Wife Gwendolyn Richmond of(Richmond Virginia)and Samuel Fuller her stepfather. She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Fuller, Sister Doreen Richmond and father Ruden Richmond Sr. She also leaves behind a host of Nephews, Nieces, Cousins and a multitude of fellow believers, whom she called her brothers and sisters and so many close friends she met over the years.
The Family of Margaret Abson wishes to thank everyone who came to offer condolences. We really appreciate all of the phone calls, text messages, visits and time spent comforting us during this very difficult time of loss. May our God Jehovah who gives comfort to the grieving allow us to learn and have faith in the Bible’s hope of a resurrection when we will most assuredly see our beloved, wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend-Margaret L. Abson Forever.
