With deep love and heavy hearts, we honor the life of Maria Sacco, who was born and raised in Sciacca, Italy and then transplanted to Brooklyn N.Y. has passed away peacefully on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the beautiful age of 90. As an Italian Born soul, Maria embodied strength, devotion, and the kind of gentle warmth with strong values that made everyone around her feel seen, cherished and loved.
She was the beloved wife of Francesco Sacco, with whom she shared a lifetime of partnership, resilience, and unwavering love.
Maria’s greatest pride was her family. She was a devoted mother to Vita Scullari, Vincenza (Robert) Heisler, Silvia Sacco (Alan Panella)—guided them with tenderness, wisdom, and a quiet, steady strength that shaped the heart of their homes without knowledge of a model of what love is.
As Nonna, Maria’s love overflowed. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy in her grandchildren: Letizia, Fabiana (Connie) Principato, Danny (Genene) Scullari, Gianluca (Mariella) Interrante, Federica (Joseph) Rusinek, Davide Rindone, Enrico Rindone, and GianCarlo Rindone.
Her joy multiplied even further as she became a treasured Great-Grandmother to Ariella, Giselle, Antonio, and Vincenzo—each one lighting up her life in their own way.
Maria is also deeply mourned by her loving sister, Lidia Milioti, with whom she shared a lifelong bond of memories, laughter, and sisterhood.
To all who knew her—family, friends, neighbors, and anyone blessed by her kindness—Maria leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and generosity. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in the stories we share, the traditions she passed down, and the love she poured into every moment.
