Your mother Mary Doherty, God Bless her could be my grandmother's double formerly of Brooklyn New York at 10th Street and 4th Ave. She passed many years ago and the family is scattered in many directions. I am writing from Michigan searching Brooklyn roots and came across your mother's obituary. Just wanted to say what a lovely lady she seems to have been. Bless your family abundantly in letting go of such a loving person. Peace. L. Joseph Galligan

Kevin, Venus & family,
Your mom was a beautiful soul. I will never forget the Thanksgiving that we all shared and the lovely words she said to us all. My prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Love and peace, Grace

What a wonder soul.

You mom will be missed.
She would frequently refuse my offer to help cary her grocery bags from Key Food . (She seldom used a cart.)
“Thank you my dear I am fine.”

However Mary and her friend did not hesitate to accept an ice cream cone from the corner.

My pleasure.
