Maryagnes Mackey was born in Brooklyn on December 10th, 1947, to John and Mae Ryan Mackey. She went on to attend St. Thomas Aquinas Elementary school and graduated Bay Ridge High School. Maryagnes was a lifelong resident of Park Slope Brooklyn.
In her later years, Maryagnes’ retired from Verizon after a long and successful career. After retirement she enjoyed traveling and keeping up with family and friends by remembering them on birthdays and holidays, with cards, phone calls and texts. She was a beloved sister and aunt, a cherished cousin, and a kind friend to many in the Helping Hands group at Rawley Post to which she belonged.
Maryagnes is survived by her brother John and his wife Bianca. Her cousins Edward and Patricia. And her nieces and nephews Meaghan, Bridget, John, Ryan, and Mathew. She will be sorely missed.
