Dear Family - 

Although I only met Suzanne once, Melvin talked about his family often, so proud of everyone!  And didn't he love those grandchildren.  I don't recall how many times we'd have a conference and children were in the background -- he was so devoted to you all!

Melvin and I worked together almost from the first day he began working at WESTAT.  Whenever I thought of NYC staffing, I always thought of Mel.  He was so kind, gentle, never complained despite all the adversities we were confronted with.  One time I was sent to QC him while he worked with a small group of children in a crowded NYC school.  When I finally found him, he was sitting in what used to be a bathroom, desks and chairs set up haphazardly, talking with a smile and enthusiasm to the children who needed a small group setting -- trying to put them at ease.  There wasn't any other available space for him, so he made the most of the situation! 

 Melvin was always concerned about others, rather than himself.  Such a wonderful man that will be dearly missed - however I'll always have such great memories and can only assume your cup runneth over with many memories of him as husband, father and grandpa.

Condolences to the family of this most special man.  I will certainly miss seeing his smiling face and listening to his marvelous stories that mostly revolved around Suzanne. Melvin touched the lives of so many and he will be remembered fondly. God bless.
