Norma Iris Laboy, age 76, passed away peacefully on October 3rd, 2019. Norma was born on November 15th, 1942 to Jennie Dijols in San Juan, Puerto Rico and was one of seven siblings.

Norma, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to many was well known for her infectious love of life. Every day with her was full of song, dance, impeccable style, laughter and, most importantly, bingo. In addition to being a beauty icon and dancing queen, Norma was a loving and generous caregiver to family, friends and those in need. She was strong, talented, funny, beautiful, brave and completely full of life.

Though she will be sorely missed, Norma’s light and legacy live on through the family she leaves behind as she continues her journey.

Memorial services will be held at Cusimano & Russo funeral home in Brooklyn on October 11th between 2-5PM and 7-10PM. A luncheon for family and friends will be held between 5-7PM

My heart has been broken of the loss, of my dear sister Normita. She was vivacious, loving, generous and always happy with life and her family. For me her JOY a will live on in my thoughts of her. She was the first to help any of us in need, and she couldn’t do enough for us. I pray to the good lord to give her daughter Elizabeth, her husband Faustino , granddaughters, and son in law Steve, strength during this difficult time. May her spirit live on, as she joins her Mother Jennie and siblings, that await her with open arms and hearts.🙏
