Norman Green

Loving husband, father, grandfather, educator, friend, mentor and supporter.

Norman worked for the New York City Department of Education as: Teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal in Erasmus Hall High School.

He is a life member of the Knights of Pythias and served as Chancellor Commander, Deputy Grand Chancellor and Assistant Chief Deputy Grand Chancellor and chairperson of numerous committees. He was bestowed the Honor of the Golden Spur.

As a past President of Madison Jewish Center, Norman devoted many hours to building the Madison Jewish Center community to growing the Hebrew School and to strengthening the social club. His involvement in every aspect of the Synagogue has been a guiding force.

Norman served on the board of Directors and education committee of the Hebrew Language Academy.

He also served on the Board of Directors of the Kingsbay YMYWHA.

Norman inspired so many in all of his endeavors. He was a true leader. He will be missed by all.
