Pauline, I've never written here but I think of you and talk to you every single night. You taught me a lot in the 40+ years since we had met at McGraw-Hill though our strongest bond was cats. I've been feeding and advocating for homeless cats since I saw you always feeding them before and after work. Now through your strength, I've learned to be strong through cancer. Soon I'll be joining you and all the family and feline cats that are with you.

Dearest Paula, You were such a unique and gifted person in so many ways. The wonderful tribute by your lifelong friend Marie at your funeral mass served to remind us all so poignantly of those qualities and of your many accomplishments and achievements. I am sure you were looking  down on us all in the company of your beloved mum and dad and of course Auntie Molly and that your heavenly heart swelled with pride as Neil spoke so eloquently and movingly of what you had meant in his life. You will be missed so much by us all. Much love Betty, Jerry and all in Glencar.

Dear Paula, you are my unique cousin - you always were, and you always will be, one of a kind. Part Elven, part Star Commando,  but entirely Irish. We have lost such a genuine, kind, intelligent and generous person. It's been many years since I visited New York and marvelled at your organisation of your beautiful outfits in your closet and, yes I too remember the exquisite collection of doll house furniture! You have left in your written works a legacy to SciFi and fantasy fans and to cat lovers alike (love of cats being a passion we both shared). You will be remembered by so many people. It comforts me to know that you are now safe with your beloved Mom and Dad and all the Griffins and Murphys who have gone before you. Good night God bless dearest Paula and rest in peace. My dearest cousin Paula. How I loved my visits to New York and meeting you, Neil and your Mum and Dad. My first impression of you never changed. You always looked immaculate and within that perfectly turned out person there was such intelligence, wit, compassion and kindness. I remember seeing the sights with you, going to restaurants, visiting Coney Island and marvelling at the ideas you were forming for your writing.  It was no surprise to me you became a successful author. I cherish all the correspondence we exchanged over the years. I hope to return to New York one day when the world is a less sad strange place than it is now and giving Neil the hug that I cannot give him now. But oh, how I will miss not seeing you when I get there. Sending all my love and knowing you are resting in peace. Jeannie

We have very fond memories of Paula's visits to Toronto  to  spend some time with her Aunt Betty & Uncle Mike Griffin  and we are their extended family.  We always admired Paula as a n author and  her Irish roots  that always seemed to show up in her books.  

Neil,  we are very sorry for your loss and hope that you keep some loving memories of your sister .   Unfortunately, due to the virus,  none of the family in Canada can attend her funeral  but she will be remembered in our prayers.   As always, Neil,  hopefully there will be a time when you can visit the Griffin family again.

I am heartbroken over the loss on my dear friend Pauline. Such a beautiful and genuine person, as well as an amazing and talented author. A truly gifted person whose loss cannot be put into words. We shared a lot during our years working together at McGraw-Hill. She was my maid of honor and confidant. So many memories that I will cherish always. My condolences to Neil and the Griffin family and Pauline’s many friends. Rest In Peace and may perpetual light shine upon you.
