Peter M. Walsh

Peter Michael Walsh died January 10, 2022 after a long illness. Born July 12, 1947 to Ruth (Gwaltney) Walsh and William Walsh. Life-long New Yorker raised in Brooklyn, he spent his early summers in Breezy Point. He loved New York but his heart was in Paris. Several book stores and coffee shops in both cities will suffer greatly by his absence. Always the smartest person in the room and the best dressed. He will be greatly missed by many friends including his French family the Poiriers. Survived by siblings Patricia O’Leary (Robert), Christopher, Billy, Kathleen and Margaret and by nephews Sean and Ryan O’Leary, nieces Kim Walsh and Megan McCann O’Leary, several great-nieces and nephews and brother-in-law George McCann. Predeceased by sister Mary Walsh McCann. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Au revoir, Peter!
