Residency…Florida
On September 7, 2021 Rachel Russo loving mom of four children passed away at age 78.
Mom…magnificent outstanding mom. That is what I think about when I think of my mom. She was just the type of woman that LOVED….she lived to love, family, friends and even strangers. When you met my mom she became a friend.
She worked with special needs children and loved what she did, also volunteered for events and loved giving to charities. ( Ronald McDonald her favorite). Mom was artsy and enjoyed creating her own things and also had a green thumb. Plants were a passion for her and felt proud of the room she created at her home.
Growing up my friends called my mom, MOM. she never denied anyone from being in our home. We didn’t always have the best of everything but we had the best of what her and my dad were able to provide with us, love, fun and togetherness. She was thoughtful, always thinking of others. When she lost her husband, our dad I don’t recall seeing her shed a tear, doesn’t mean she didn’t, she just didn’t show it.
I can keep writing about what a wonderful woman, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt sister, sister-in -law and friend she was, but will end with this……not every family is perfect but as individuals we need to make choices. Live with peace, contentment, and be happy with who you are and the choices you make. My mom did and this is what made her such a happy woman.
She leaves behind 4 children, 2 grandchildren, 2 sisters, 8 nieces and nephews and 8 great nieces and nephews.
