Richard Thomas Mango, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away at the age of 69. A true jack of all trades, Richard was a chef, photographer, woodworker, and an endlessly curious soul who brought creativity and skill to everything he touched.
He was a loving father, proud grandfather, beloved brother, and cherished uncle. To his family, he was a source of strength, humor, and unconditional love — the kind of man whose presence made everything feel a little brighter, a little safer, and a lot more fun.
Those who knew Richard will remember him as kind and loving, with a wit as sharp as his stubborn streak — qualities that made him both unforgettable and deeply cherished. He had a presence that lit up any room, and whether he was crafting something with his hands or sharing a well-timed joke, he was a pleasure to be around.
He leaves behind a legacy of passion, craftsmanship, and warmth — and the countless lives he enriched just by being himself.
He will be deeply missed
