Richard T. Pafundi

Beloved husband of Marie (nee Martucci). Richard and Marie were college sweethearts who together shared over fifty-seven beautiful years devoted to each other. As their love grew, so did their family. Richard was the loving father of Laura-Ann, Ann-Marie, Ricky, and Michael, and the cherished grandfather of Giuliana and Mikey, Jr.

Richard found his greatest joy in life’s simple pleasures. He treasured time spent with his family. Whether it was sharing a meal, celebrating holidays, or simply being together, those moments meant the world to him and filled his heart. He was a constant, loving presence whose kindness, warmth, and unwavering support made everyone around him feel special.

Richard loved music and enjoyed dancing with his wife Marie whenever he could. He always appreciated a good meal – especially his wife’s cooking – but always best enjoyed in the company of those he loved.

Richard loved to laugh, his contagious laughter often filling the room. He enjoyed classic comedies such as Cheers and Seinfeld, which reflected his wonderful sense of humor. A devoted New York Yankees fan, he rarely missed a game and cheered faithfully for his team. He especially enjoyed sharing his love of baseball with his sons and grandchildren.

His gentle and kind nature extended to animals, especially his beloved dog, who was his cherished companion.

For more than fifty-five years, Richard worked as a corporate controller for National Fuel Gas and Manhattan Management Co. He genuinely loved his work. His dedication and work ethic inspired his colleagues and reflected his deep personal integrity.

Richard will be remembered for his love of family, his generous heart, his sense of humor, and the happiness he brought to so many lives. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at Cusimano & Russo Funeral Home, 2005 West 6th St, Brooklyn, NY 11223, on July 14, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Church of Sts. Simon & Jude, 185 Van Sicklen St, Brooklyn, NY 11223, on July 15, 2026, from 9:45 am to 10:45 am.

Interment will take place at St. John Cemetery, 80-01 Metropolitan Ave, Middle Village, NY 11379, on July 15, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
