When I was 5 years old, you talked my mother into letting you take me to the movies for the first time. We went to the Prospect to see the 1952 re-release of Dracula & Frankenstein and I was hooked. I will never forget the fun we had going to see all those monster and sci-fi films back in the 1950's. Sometimes you would babysit me and my brothers and always found some monster movie to watch on TV. You used to love to scare us, all in fun of course. You were my Uncle Richie, but it always felt like you were the older brother that I never had. There were circuses at the Garden and trips to Coney Island. I will never forget all the fun times we had. When I grew up we didn't go to the movies. That's how life is. We did work together for RCA back in the 60's and always remained friends. You were always funny and made us laugh. I will always miss you and be thankful for all the good times we had. Rest in peace you funny man. I love you and will help to keep your memory alive for the younger ones who missed the good old days......Buster

Dear Ryan Family, Richie was so easy to get along with and always joking & laughing.  I will remember him that way.  My deepest sympathy to the family. May he rest in peace.

Uncle Richie, I miss you. You brought so much laughter into all of our lives, for that I will always be grateful. In life, whenever I thought of you, a smile would cross my lips . Now, whenever I think of you a tear fills my eye. In time, I know the smile will return, because you just embodied fun and silliness.                       I love you,Maureen.
