Santo (Sal) Matarazzo. On October 26, 2016. Beloved husband of Mary (nee: Papp). Loving father of Michael (Lisa), Loren (Al), & Jennifer (Richard). Dear grandfather of Michael, Alexandra, Enrique, Juliana, Rocco, Richie & Santina. Loving brother, uncle and friend. Sal was the former proprietor of the Sal-Mar Photo Studio on Avenue U in Brooklyn and a proud and dedicated member of the Kiwanis Club of Gravesend, Brooklyn for 45 years, serving several times as a Distinguished President. Sal led many of the fund-raising efforts of Gravesend Kiwanis but he especially loved the annual Christmas Party held by Gravesend Kiwanis at Coney Island Hospital. Sal, along with his wife, Mary, oversaw the purchasing and wrapping of hundreds of gifts that were presented to the children in the hospital and loved to see the smiles on their faces. May Sal's good works accompany him to heaven. Reposing Sunday 2-9 pm at the Casey McCallum Rice Funeral Home 30 Nelson Ave, S.I. N.Y. Funeral Mass to be celebrated Monday 10:00 am at Our Lady Star of The Sea, 5371 Amboy Rd, . S.I. N.Y. Interment to follow, with military honors, in the Cemetery of the Resurrection, S.I.
